Re: superficial vein thrombosis(has anyone had one that went away?)

Never heard of it going away, but the body can recovery blood flow around the thrombosis. The body essentially re-routes the body's blood 'traffic'. I have had several cerebral venous thromboses -- right side of brain. They are still there and my first MRI in November 2000 revealed them and indicated that they had been there for a minimum of two years. :sigh: I thought that they would disappear, be reabsorbed by the body, that the warfarin would dissolve them. No such luck. But the warfarin does make sure that no NEW ones develop.
