The normal blood count looks BASICALLY at the following counts: white blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, red blood cell average dize, amount of hemoglobin, and a few other things that aren't as important. So with the following things can be found:
white blood cells - high can mean infection, really high can mean leukemia, really low can mean bone marrow failure
platelets - high can mean essential thrombocythemia, low can mean bone marrow failure or platelet desctruction
red blood cells - low can mean anemia, high can mean polycythema rubra vera, you can also have different types of anemia based on how large the red blood cells are.
