Cracking Your Back Bones


I am 20 y/o male.

I work at a computer most of the day and sit cramped over staring at a monitor.

I am quite tall and i havent got the best posture when standing up.

I'm not hunched over but i find that it i try to stand up completly straight with my chest out, i get pain and aching so i revert back to standing "slugishly".

About 4 times a day i crack my back/spine. When my back is aching i put my arms round my back and push my chest forward. This makes my spine crack and i hear and feel about 5 or 6 disks or whatever they are crack out. I then feel much better and feel i have grown about 2 inches.

I try and sit in better position on the computer but nothing seems comfortable.

Does cracking my back cause it any problems??? and will it in later life???

I dont want to end up 60 years old and looking straight at the ground all the time.

I do the same thing and have since my teens (in 30s now). I rotate both ways to crack both sides as well as my neck. Some docs will tell you to stop if you can, but I have seen others that say that I am my own chiropractor. So you will find varying opinions, but I have not found any that said it was truly detrimental enough to stop.
Another back-cracker here.
