I am trying to find out more about a bone disorder called Paget's syndrome.
Is this similar to Osteoporosis?
Is this more frequently in males than females?
Is this hereditary, if so is there a method to test for the disorder?
Does exercise and calcium supplements help in alleviating symptoms?
Pagets disease- Our bones are living tissue and our body is constantly making new bone (remodeling). During the remodeling process Pagets disrupts the process and causes the body to build weak and soft bone. I believe that I read once that women over 50
are more prone. There is a lot of information on Pagets. Here are a couple of good sites. www.Mayoclinic.com and www.paget.org.uk
I have done a lot of research as I am unable to take most of the drugs for this. Calcium, etc. is important.
