my tailbone - Bone Disorders Message Board

A year and a half ago I fell and landed on my tailbone from a 2 foot platform. I injured my tailbone, but i never saw a doctor. 3 months after I injured it the nerve was still hurting then it calmed down. Every now and then i have jolts from my nerve and today i landed on my butt and it hurt my tailbone. I'm planning on playing football next year and this might effect me, and suggestions?

see a doctor or chiropractor- i had something similar [except someone pulled a chair from beneath me... ouch...]- even though i saw a doctor, it still bothers me- it's sort of out of alignment... someimes it's bad, sometimes it's fine... in anycase, get it checked if it's bothering you or if you are concerned about it... best of luck!

You need to see the doc as already suggested to be sure you don't have some permanent damage or something that can be medically corrected. You should also ask your doc about playing football when you get this evaluated to get his imput on whether he thinks you will have more problems with this area etc.

Question: Why is this on this board? I am glad that you're looking for help for this, but there are better boards on Healthboards.com than a sexaul board.
People will have better info on other boards.

i bruised my tailbone before..is that what ya did?? theres not much you can do..and it actually hurt for about a year ! thats the worst thing to happen
