Costo Questions - Bone Disorders Message Board

For all those of you with costochondritis, i have a few questions.

1) Do you periodically get sharp/dull throbbing pains around your sternum area on a regular basis?

2) Do the muscles in your arms sometimes ache for no reason?

3) Does your back often hurt around the shoulder blade area?

4)Do you sometimes get pain in your jaw?

Yes!!! particularly number 1 and number 3 quesion. Don't have the jaw pain and don't think it is related to the costochondritis as far as I know.

I can relate to 1, 2, and 3. I have gone through so much with all of this. My new doctor doesnt want to believe that it is costochondritis until he rules everything else out. My arm pain gets so bad that I cant even use it. I am currently going through physical therapy to get my arm back. I am also going to any specialist there is just to make sure that it isnt that area. I am dealing with this again (twice in less than a yr and it lasts about 3 months or more). What have you done to get rid of it? I need some help.......
