Large Baker's cyst
I had a subtotal removal of the lateral meniscus of my right knee in May of this year. About three weeks after surgery I started to have increasing pain, primarily behind my knee. About 6 weeks later, they finally did a MRI and found a very large (14 cm) Baker's cyst. It has been drained twice since it was causing my leg to swell all the way down to my toes.
The two orthopedic surgeon's I have seen have both said to just let it go and it will hopefully go away. It is starting to fill back up now, at about 4 week after being drained, of 155cc of fluid, for the second time. The first time it was drain, removing 120cc, it filled back up in a matter of a couple of days.
My question is, at what point is it time to have this cyst surgically removed?
