cortisone injection for frozen shoulder

Has anyone determined if a cortisone injection is beneficial to treat shoulder impingement that is developing into adhesive capsulitis?

Re: cortisone injection for frozen shoulder

I hope so because tonight I have just been told I have capsulitis (severely frozen shoulder - cant even get dressed!) and have had the first of two cortisone shots. I have also been told that this will only reduce the pain, but I will have to wait another 12 months for the shoulder to 'unfreeze'!

HI ,
I had cortisone injections for my shoulder complaint about 18yrs ago, they are supposed to be ok, but only if only have a set of three I was given four injections, because the doctor did'nt believe me when I told him that I did'nt need another as I had already received the third on my last visit. The thing is the Cortisone injections did not help( severe shoulder pain when lifting ,muscle pain & weakness) I now I have the same problem with both arms as well as other medical conditions: Sorry my letter is late
