QUESTION: Throat Clicking - Bone Disorders Message Board

I don't know if this is a good board to put this in, but I'm new here and I have a situation that I need to ask.

Recently I've noticed this problem and I don't really know how long I've had it...but when I position my head a certian way...most of the time when it's bowed -- there is a clicking a clicking feeling/noise around the Adams apple.

Does anyone out there have any idea what that could be or is it something that you've gone through and you KNOW what it is.

Hmmm...

I never thought about that! I guess my "Pulse" could creat an "Actual Click"?? My mind is getting the better of me (Having OCD) that something major is out of place or broke or something is majorly wrong and that I'm going to "choke to death."

Is this clicking when you swallow? If so, I just recently went to an ENT about this problem, and was told that it was my hyoid bone rubbing against either cartilage or tendons. I was told it is a common complaint among patients and that it could be caused by swallowing a large piece of food, thus stretching the cartilage there, or by someone hitting it. I was told it would go away "eventually", but having read up a lot about it on the internet, I'm seeing people complaining about it for years, so I'm not all that hopeful right now.
