I've developed bony protrusions on the top of both my feet which I believe to be metatarsal cuneiform exostosis. These cause a lot of discomfort whilst I'm out practising my favourite sports snowboarding and windsurfing. Is surgery available or advisable?

Hi H_Bee, yes surgery is available. Sometimes you have to think of the pain that you are experiencing and compare to the risk of surgery. If the deformity is causing so much pain you can't do your favourite sports, you should discuss with your doctor about surgery or any conventional treatments and how it can help you. Sometimes nerve can get injured/damaged during surgery.
