Hey guys, and gals.
im new to these boards, and i have a bit of a question here
i sustained a fibula fracture, 2 weeks ago, while on vacation.
now the first hospital i visited, which was kind of in a secluded area, had written it as a Weber B fracture.
Then i went to a bigger hospital, to get my cast done, and they seemed to agree with that diagnosis.
SO they put me in a cast, and told me i couldnt have any weight put on for the 6 weeks.
now i went to the hospital i work at(im a nurse) for my 2 week follow up and met with an orthopedist from my place.
now he tells me i have a really nice fracture, thats ognna heal quite nicely, and that i would have no problem whatsoever.
he even told me i could walk on it, as stable non displaced ankle fractures dont usually require weight restrictions, but rotation restrictions.
he suggested i get a walking cast, or a walker boot.
