Re: broken wrist help

Did your doctor tell you how long you have to wear the splint? I am jealous that you only had to wear the cast for 5 weeks. When I broke my wrist a year ago, I had to wear the cast for nine weeks, and I was in a splint for 2 weeks after the cast came off (just for protection purposes). It will feel weird for several weeks when you use your arm again, but the feeling will go away the more you use your wrist. I didn't have any therapy after my cast was removed.

I hope this helped. If you have any other questions, just ask!

Re: broken wrist help

bone is pretty healed although not solid by 5-6 weeks so unless you plan on doing something extreme it should be ok to have it out of the brace use it more and get it moving or it will stiffen up and you will have more issues
