Nuss Procedure and Mitral Valve Prolapse

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting here so I'm not sure if it's in the right place!

I am recently 20 years old, and I have a mild/severe case of Pectus Excavatum, as well as the heart disorder Mitral Valve Prolapse.

Recently I have been looking into getting the Nuss Procedure for my Pectus Excavatum, and I'm assuming that because of my heart condition, my insurance might not cover it or I might not even be allowed to have the surgery (not sure if that is even possible :S)

I have had private health cover for my whole life because of my heart, and hopefully it would cover me getting the Nuss, but does anyone know if my Mitral Valve Prolapse would hinder my chances of getting the surgery?

I'm sure there will be a higher risk for me than most people who have gotten the Nuss, but yeah...

Well, thanks!
