scaphoid nonunion

For the past year iv been falling on my wrist way too much. eventully i couldnt move it or anything and had lots of pain.. eventully some mobility came back(nowhere near what it used to be) but i diddnt think it was broken, and if i had broken it i diddnt think the docters could really do anything for it. i finally went to teh docter about 6 months after the break and he said i have a nonunion scaphoid and need surgary. i was planning on getting the surgury after a 2 month trip i went on.. by the time i got back a lot of mobilty in my wrist came back(still not too great) but rarley felt pain in it. the docter told me the surgury is a 70% success rate, and even if it is a success, id be loosing 30% of mobility. at this point, iv been using it a lot even some heavy lifting and it feels pretty alright(about 9 months after first breaking it) so i really dont want to deal with surgury if i can live with it how it is. also, im terrified that the surgury will make it worse off than it is right now. if i dont get surgury, i was told ill end up with arthritis in the future. im just really confused whether i should get the surgury or not.. any help or advise is greatly appreciated
