Re: still swollen after healing

That's actually normal, when you have a fracture. The swelling goes on and on, even after you are otherwise almost fully recovered. It could take 4 months to stop swelling!

You may want to ask your doctor about wearing a compression stocking when you need to be on your feet a lot.

Have you had physical therapy, to rebuild the muscle correctly?

Re: still swollen after healing

i have not undergone any type of therapy.fortunately i have a hot tub in my back yard and this helps very much to sit in it and massage and rotate foot while in it. its not just my foot that swells, sometimes my leg partway up to my knee feels swollen and tight. is this normal too. thank you for responding so quickly.

Re: still swollen after healing

Keep icing as long as you have swelling. And you should be doing some sort of exercise program, to make sure you recover all the strength in your leg.
