Hi everyone, for the last 2 years I've had general bone/muscle pain and when I put any significant amount of pressure on my bones they slightly bend, permanently ( I know this sounds crazy ). I did some research and suspected osteomalacia, went to a harley street rheumatologist who gave me 2 vitamin d injections over 3 months and got my levels high but no improvement, so he arranged isotope and dexa scans, both normal. Not sure what to do at this point, does anyone know if there are conditions, other than osteomalacia, that could cause bones to bend?
Any advive would be greatly appreciated
Hi Jane, thanks for the response. I'm 26 years old, the x-ray doesn't show dramatic bending, but if they were compared to an x-ray 2 years ago, there would definately be a significant difference IMO. Also I have crohn's disease and have had low ferritin for a long time. I've just had an iron infusion to try and correct this, not sure if this is relavent to my bones though?
