Osteochondritis, talus, correct diagnosis?

Hello, I'm five weeks into non-weight bearing after being diagnosed with osteochondritis in my ankle, stage 1. I've got a lot of swelling that comes and goes, but I've also noticed my ankle is putting off a ton of heat, and my massage therapist noticed one of my legs was noticeably colder than the other (the one with the talus problem). Considering the seriousness of the diagnosis, I'm wondering if anyone else out there with this problem has felt extreme heat or other temperature fluctuations around their injury? It's almost as if it's the reaction to an infection (which doctor ruled out because I didn't have higher temperature). Thanks in advance for your help!
