Painful Bump on Bone remains after eye trauma

3 months ago, I was hit pretty hard on the outside of my eye with the end of a whitewater rafting paddle. There was major swelling and discoloration but fortunately no fracture. I was told it would heal in 2-3 weeks. Well, 3 months later, I still have a raised area where I was hit and it's still very sensitive and painful, but most of the discoloration is gone. Should I be concerned about this and is there anything I can do? Will it eventually go away? If it were anywhere but my eye, I probably wouldn't be quite as concerned, but I obviously want to make sure I don't have something going on that could ultimately effect my vision. And with a 4 year old, getting knocked in the face on accident happens now and then - and it hurts!

Thanks for your responses.
