Problems passing gas - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Has anyone ever had problems passing gas with IBS? Don't most IBS sufferers have trouble passing too much gas?...but has anyone not been able to pass gas or noticed that they don't pass gas much? Maybe those with IBS-C? I haven't passed gas in I don't know how long. The only time I do is when I actually have a bm (although it hasn't been even close to normal lately). ??

Lately just this past week I have had trouble, some times I can feel the rumble and feel the air move but then it's like it get stuck or caught it won't pass which just creates a terrible bloated feeling which later will make me cramp up.Or sometimes i have the feeling like I should be passing a lot of gas but nothing.

So is this sometimes associated with IBS? Do you have this problem frequently?
