Soft Stool...A Sign Of A Problem? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Does soft stool mean anything? It is not firm at all. But it isn't frothy either. It's kinda like a paste. No pain, no nothing. I have normal bowel movement. I have IBS as well. Is it ok?

The stool's color is brownish yellow.

Are those characteristics normal?

Sounds pretty normal with IBS. It can be anything from soft one day, to lumpy another, then diarreah, and normal the next. Alot of what you eat can change the color. Fun isn't it? I'm sure your fine.

Could my problem be also due to the tooth pain I'm experiencing? I have wisdom teeth on my left side and they've been swollen for a few days now. It has been getting better each day. And during those days, I've been having soft stool (perhaps minor case of diarrhea).

Oh yeh, this morning I had stomach pain too. And its most likely because I slept with my stomach open to cold air? That usually happens. The bowel was dark brown and diarrhea like.
