| Re: Adhesion Pain????
annecy,
hi hon,
I have been having problems with adhesions for quite some time now. Right now i saw the surgeon on friday, and he is going to meet with my GI doctor and primary doctor to see what plan of action they can come up with.
The pain is horrible and yes it brings me down to my knees at times. I have been hospitalized because i was extremely dehydrated and in severe pain simply because i wasnt eating or drinking because of the PAIN. It started getting worse around Thanksgiving and was hospitalized on Dec 29. Since thanksgiving its been appt after appt, trying this, trying that, MRI's, cat scans, xrays, GI doc appt, colonoscopy, you name it. All this takes time as you know while they "set appts". The whole time im freaking out in severe pain and seems to me yea they might be trying to do something but its taking forever. Now the surgeon says, he might see maybe 3 - 5 cases if that a year like this. Not just adhesions, but he feels the adhesions are causing other problems, and says i might have to end up being sent to dallas or san antonio (bigger hospitals) where they probably do more research or work on patients more than they do here. They can remove adhesions here, but he feels they are attached now to some major organs and colon and says thats where the danger lies thus wanting to send me to the other hospitals. In the meantime, i suffer from constipation, to diareah, to not eating, to pain, and also dealing with fibromyalgia at the same time.
So yes it might be adhesions, your doctor will have to check you, and did you also know, that sometimes adhesions happen to people who have NEVER had surgeries as well? ive had 3 surgeries, plus tons of endometriosis which ALSO causes scar tissue/adhesions, so i wait. Wait for them to come up with a plan of action, and im praying IT WILL BE SOON.
