Thumbs up My Colon Hydrotherapy Session

Hey there, Thanks for all the infor that everyone posts.

After researching on the net and reading some of the posts here, I finally did it. I had a colon hydrotherapy session done. It was great--not as bad as I thought. After my session was complete, I felt so much better. My main complaint and reason to get the session done was constipation problems and severe gas pains. My therapist elimated the gas and lots of waste. He told me that my colon was compacted and loosed everything up for about an hour. I told myself that I wouldnt look at the stuff coming out but I couldnt believe how much stuff he was pulling out of me. He even told me that this was only a portion--I am going back this weekend to have another session done. It takes about 2-3 sessions to feel the full results.

I know that this is not for everyone but I feel so much cleaner today. I am so skeptical about these types of things but this is money well spent.

Question though--do you tip for this service and if yes, how much is appropriate? I noticed a tip "space" on my credit card receipt but he was running behind and I just signed it and left...

If you have any questions about what is done, just ask.

Re: My Colon Hydrotherapy Session

Not sure if you tip , never had the service done before but am "thinking" about it. As soon as i find out when im having surgery, id like to do it way before then. I do know that on these posts we get kind of graphic sometimes but i do believe sometimes we have to to get the help we need or info that is needed by someone. We are adults , and can handle the truth, (i think ) maybe , maybe not lol.

I would like to know the specifics tho if you feel comfortable in sharing that is. It is an enema is it not? Is it painful? Is alot of water shot into you? Is there cramping while the process is being done? is there cramping afterwards for a while? is the water cold or warm? Does the technician stay there with you thru the whole process or only the beginning and end of it? Is it somewhat embarrassing? If im being too nosey please smack me on the nose and i'll back off

Thanks,
Jen

Re: My Colon Hydrotherapy Session

Hi there Jenn--

No problem on the questions...ask away! It was very comfortable. After my therapist reviewed my questionare, he gave me a paper gown and told me to remove my shorts and boxers. After he came back into the room, I sat up on the table and he opened the sealed package in front of me, explaining what each piece of equipment was and what he was going to do with it. After he lubricated the nozzle (it was a bullet looking thing, the size of a finger), I laid on my side and he inserted it inside of me. I told him that it felt like I was going to push it out, but he told me that he would hold it to make sure that I didn't.

Once I was laying on my back, he started to fill me with cold water. I could actually feel the water filling up my colon. After that was complete, he started to do this suction thing--I couldnt feel the water circulating inside of me but about 8 times during my session, we did some "fills". He would fill me up and then I would hold it and then release. This resulted in lots of waste being eliminated.

It was extremely professional but be warned, the therapist has his hand practically on your butt holding the tube and working some type of hose. When we were not doing fills, he massaged my lower abdomen to release stuff. It was very relaxing and comfortable.

The only cramping I had was when I was being filled up--it felt like gas pains but they were quickly gone when I released.

I had the same question you did--isnt this just an expensive enima? An enima only cleanses the last 8 inches of your lower bowel-a hydrotherapy session cleans out all 5 1/2 feet of your colon.

Re: My Colon Hydrotherapy Session

Hey KBW,
Thanks alot for the info hon. Sometimes you read things and they just "sound too good to be true" ya know? or the ad doesnt explain everything (so they wont frightened people off i guess) and you end up with surprises

Im having surgery for removal of abdomial adhesions (no date as of yet) and id like to be able to be thoroughly cleaned out before that. Who knows, maybe it will help ease some of the pain adhesions cause. Never know.

Glad it went great for you and thanks sooo much for the info hon.

Jen
