Question about hemorroids - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Does anyone know if hemorroids ever go away once you have them, or do they just shrink down until you strain again and then it maybe bleeds then?

They never go away - you were right, they just shrink and grow, shrink and grow - well, I never KNEW anyone that had them go away, I guess it's a possibility they CAN, but I highly doubt that.

So everytime that they get irritated, they are most likely to bleed? Oh Brother!

Unfortunately yes. I've been dealing with that problem for years. You COULD go to a doctor and have him inject it and it will dry and shrivel it up, then you won't have bleeding for about a year or so.
