hey.. i used to take laxatives alot... like a couple times a week, and usually a double dose... i did this for about 4 months or so. Now, It's hard for me to have a BM if I havent taken a laxative. AND now when I do take them, it doesn't even work. Is there anything I can do to get me back on track? Thanx

I'd get in touch with your general physician. Otherwise, perhaps adding more fiber to your diet may assist you with more consistent bowel movements. But definitely consult your practioner because I've understood an overuse of laxatives can cause your bowels to become dependent upon them, reducing the activity of the muscle and its ability to function properly. (I can't guarantee how accurate that is, so check with your regular doctor!) Good luck!

ok, a few problems here.... i'm only 14 and neither of my parents know about this. Also, we never go to the doctor, im not sure why, we just dont. im really worried about this... and i know if i tell my mom she'll be really mad at me... bc she told me not to do this... is there anything AT ALL that u know i can do? do you think if i just don't take any for a long time that things will go back to normal? its really not that bad... ive never really been one to "go" alot anyways... just please help me...
