| Anyone who has had hemorrhoid or fissure surgery.
Ok,I am at my wits end! Nearly 4 months ago, I had several internal and external hems removed, along with a chronic fissure and an LIS (muscle cut to prevent future fissures).I am still having small amount of bright red blood with bm,each and everyday. It is alarming to me. When I had my surgery,I told the dr. I was very worried I had rectal cancer (don't laugh at me-I always think the worse about everything). He said he did not think so,but would take a "good look" while he had me sedated for surgery. He did an anascope, proctoscope and sigmoidoscopy. He also sent tissue to pathology,it came back ok. When I saw him a few weeks ago for my last apt.,I told him I was still bleeding-he said you shouldn't be.So he looked around with the light and said he didn't see any reason and told me to more or less have a good life-no more apts needed.I try to drink lots of water, eat fiber-one cereal and exercise daily. So,why in the world am I still not completely better. He was probably the third surgeon I saw in a year and the only one who thought I should have surgery. If it were cancer, shouldn't they have seen it? I can't quit worrying about it.
