| Re: New - Please Respond, Have Question
Hi,
What you're experiencing isn't "normal", so having the colonoscopy will definitely get a visual as to what's happening in there. The doc will also take biopsies and have them tested.
It's obvious that there's inflammation, and yes, some of your symptoms could lead to a serious problem....but not necessarily.
I can understand and relate to your concerns because I went through a series of testing and scary symptoms before I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.
All of your symptoms can be checked on the internet, but sometimes the searching and guessing can exacerbate the present symptoms and lead you to more distress.
I've had 6 colonoscopies.....the prep is the worst, the drugs for the test are great and I always watch the monitor. I ask to not be put to sleep.
Please let us know how your test went and how you're doing.
I know it's difficult to not worry....but the not knowing is the most difficult part.
Best to you,
quincy
