I really never thought about it but the object of taking psyllium is to get enough fiber in your system so your bowels work. So, I guess it would work. You certainly cook some fruit and veggies for fiber and that works!!!

My wife has the same problems along with bloating when using the powder --so she take them in a capsule form that we get from the Vitamin Shoppe. They sell the largest cap that I have found ---I think they are 880 mgs but you can buy them from most health food stores.
You can buy psyllium in wafers also but they are a little costly.
