Question fibers

Confused on fibers for constipation. I read that non soluble is best(is that metamucil) what is a soluble fiber? Metamucil binds me up more.

Spirit,

I am still surprised that you are still having problems. I would like to know what kind food You eat on a daily basis because psyllium is not a binding fiber???

Metamucil also binds me up and I drink so much water after I take it that I can't leave the house. I have to stay close to the bathroom!!! I say try all-bran extra fiber cereal followed by a glass of water every morning for a week and see what happens.

With Metamucil you have to drink tons of water. I find All bran original is working for me. I switched to fiber herbal capsules and I am back to being sluggish. I don't get it! I eat tons of fiber during the day, went for 7 bm's today, but they were all small ones, sluggish. I'm so sick of this! I'm so obsessed with the amount of fiber I take each day, water and hemmorhoids, of which flared up again today!
