Question constipation

I have been constipated for some time, an on again off again deal. My doctor has me taking fiber pills and drinking plenty of water. I already eat high fiber and plenty of raisins, but what more can I do. I have a bm in the morning and it's hard coming but it does come without me pushing and then my second one is normal. What gives? I am so sore and trying to heal from a rip caused by my constipation. It sounds quite nice, doesn't it. Help with any suggestions would be nice.

Hello there,

I also suffered constipation so I will share what worked for me
I drink lots of water
I tone my bowels by doing sit ups
Got allergy tests, stopped eatting food allergic too alot better but still had problems.
Went to acupuncture, great also,
I take isogel, metamucil and other products didn't work for me.
I can now say I don't have problems, and if you try all of the above and don't get cured, I would suggest that you get a specialist to check it out, could be something more serious going on.
Hope this helps
michelle

Experiment with the different types of fiber. Ensure that you include plenty of fruit and veg in your diet and water of course. Prune juice is very good also and sometimes magnesium supplements can help too.

All those fiber ideas are great and I do them too but what I found to be so useful is my doctor put me on a stool softener. It works wonders for me makes the stool soft and you dont have to pop a blood vessel getting it out. Good luck.

Hello again
I forgot to mention treating the liver, try taking a liver tonic with milk thistle in it and try dandelion tea that stimulates the bile production in the body. Another good product to use is Natures sunshine BPX, stimulates the liver. You sound like you have enough fibre so maybe your liver is a bit sluggish?
worth a try worked for me.

I agree with you about the liver. A sluggish liver can cause a lot of bowel problems.

I regularly take herbs and homeopathic remedies as a liver support or a liver cleanse to prevent this.

Acupuncture too is great and if you ever have Liver 3 needled bilaterally wow!!
