Fiber Question Could the inability to complete bowel movements mean I'm not getting enough fiber in my diet? |
Incomplete bowels could be a medical condition. See a Doctor. Most Gastroenterologists will tell you to increase your fiber anyway so you ight as well do it now. They like you to take the fiber suppliments every day. I like the "other" brand that is not Psyllium because it is easier on my gut. I have IBS C and incomplete bowels are one of my issues. More fiber both in suppliment and diet do help. And Pears are extremely helpful in the BM process. I try to eat at least 3 or 4 a week along with other sources of dietary fiber. My gastroenterologist suggested one cup of hot black coffee a day. Also, Bowels need regularity sso try to figure out your body clock and arrange your coffee and food bowel helpers as close to a schedule as possible. It's how the bowel works best. kat |
