Post Alright...it's hemorrhoids...more info please?

If I use preparation H, how many times a day will I have to use it?

How long will it take to work?

Any more remedies I can try to ease pain/reduce swelling/etc?

What the best source for fiber?

Any other info would be of much help.

Sorry guys, but I'm clueless, in pain, and kinda scared.

Hemorrhoids are permanent and will not go away with out surgery. All the preparation H will do is to help shrink a swollen hemorrhoid and make it feel better. I can help relieve the burning and pain somewhat. You main goal now is to try to prevent more by making sure you don't strain on the toilet and keeping your bowels soft.

Yep, that's what I think too.
You got a whole lot of great advise on the other post.
I would only add that if a fibre powder suppliment does not do the job in keeping your bowels a good soft consistency then you might talk to your doctor about Miralax which is an osmodic laxative and does a good job of binding moisture to the stool.
It's either tend the hemmoroids or see the colon surgeon.
And trust me that is NO FUN, those colon surgeons.
But it's also worse than no fun if you don't get those hemmoroids tended when they demand attention.
It eventually can become so unpleasant that you can't ignore them, so definately you want to be prudent, see the doctor early on and keep up with maintenance.
If kept controled nothing has to go into the terrible zone.
