I am 20 years old. Yesterday I had darker red blood in my stool. Since four days ago, I have had an unusual amount of gas. I have also had pains in my upper stomach, near my ribs. This probably isn't realted, but I also urinate more frequently than I ever have the past few weeks.

Do not treat blood in your stool lightly ---It should be checked out by a Doctor just to make sure the cause????

I'm a few years younger than you and I have the same symptoms. I have been experiencing a constant pain on my left side, diagonaling up from my navel and slightly under my ribs. Does that make any sense? Days go by without eating or drinking because the pain is so intense. Some days my bowels are hard and dark. Other days they are very soft and light brown. I don't know what is causing this.
