Question How can you tell if a rectocel was done right?

I had surgery on a Rectocele but it still seems like my colon is sitting on my vagina. Any advice? thanks all

Hi Penny, wonder if you could share your symptoms of what your rectocele was. It would be helpful for us women. Did you feel a heaviness in the rectum area, even after a bm? Did you feel like your leg had a soreness to it, like something was pinching a nerve? Did you feel like you had incomplete or soft bm's that were a little smelly? I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Dear Penny: Could you describe in a bit more detail what it is you're feeling? Is there bulging inside the vagina, from either the anterior (front) or posterior (back) wall, worse when bearing down or straining? Are you feeling bulging in the perineum (that little area between vaginal and anal openings)? Are you having difficulty with bowel movements (such as, needing to splint)?
