Post Dizzyness? Fatigue?

I've been having problems for about 2 months now, out of the blue. No previous bowel issues, started with an acute stomach cramping and nausea. I was initially treated for a water infection as I had bad backache and I was passing water a lot.

Anyway, after a week of antibiotics they decided I might have a kidney stone as the pain was still lingering... This eventually evolved into probable IBS since my water tests came back with no blood.

Since then I've had a constant "pain" in the left side of my stomach and back. I seem to empty my bowels regulary and don't really have D or C, just a couple of occasions and it wasn't bad.

I seem to be passing mucus at the moment with the stool, which seems to be pretty light coloured, sometimes bands of lighter and darker colour. I had one episode a couple of weeks ago where I think I passed a what looked like a blood clot, dark coloured. But I wasn't feeling too good that day and didn't examine it enough, now I wonder if it was. No blood in stool otherwise.

Along with this I seem to have developed very bad breath the last few weeks, which comes along with headaches and a coating on the tongue. I'm pretty sure the breath is not an oral issue, my teeth are in good shape and I clean and use mouthwash. I also seem to have developed sore patch around the anus which I've been treating with cream.

Today I have had a bit of abdominal pain and backache, didn't seem too bad. Then I went out shopping and I started feeling quite weak, a bit light headed and dizzy.

Since then I've been feeling very tired and My gut doesn't feel right. My GP did finally decided to send me to a Gastro but since I'm in the UK I have to wait for the NHS appoinment which could take a while.

Does anyone else feel tired? Dizzy? Sore Patches? Bad Breath? Could this all just be IBS?

Thanks

another thing, I weighed myself this morning, seems I've lost between 1/2 and 3/4 stone in just over a month. I know my appetite hasn't been so good but that seems a bit worrying.

You need to see a doctor as soon as you can. Blood that is not bright red is not a good sign. Losing weight is not a good sign although it is not always a sign of something very serious - for example, regular diarrhea can lead to weight loss as can appetite loss from constant tummy upset. Something does not sound right in your case and the sooner you are tested the better.

As for the bad breath, every one gets it from time to time. However, if you use mouth wash regularly you will always have bad breath to a certain extent because the mouth wash kills everything in your mouth - good and bad so that there is more room for the bad to come back.

Sore patches on the backside area might be because feces on the skin irritates the skin but that is not a serious or longterm problem.

If your tongue is white, that means that you have bacterial growth which causes bad breath. You can get a tongue scraper to get rid of it gradually.

thanks for the comments, the doc has referred me, I'm going back to see a doctor today aswell to discuss the sore bottom issue!

I've only had a what looked like a blood show once. They did a blood test after this which they said seems fine and should rule out colitis or crohns hopefully.

I'm just feeling run down with it and want an answer, if I need treatment then I just want to get it done if you know what I mean. seems very frustrating waiting around...
