Exercises for hemorrhoids?? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Are there any exercises for treating hemorrhoids which are not too bad as yet? They are internal. Any suggestions welcome. Regards.

Hemorrhoids as you know are like varicose veins-- they enlarge and form a sac like pocket that has lost it elasticity--- sorry no exercises for treatment.

The best thing is to never but never get constipated. Use psyllium to make your BMs regular and gentle without straining!!!

Also, we don't have Rock Melons in the States-- or else they are known by another name.

Thanks Harry. You must have rock melons but they must go by a different name (I've included a description of them from the net below). What I really wanted to know was if there is a way making the veins normal if they were not too badly thrombosed in the first place.

3gastroenterologists and a colon surgeon all told my husband that walking is the best exercise for hemorroids.
Most probably because when you are walking you are not sitting down.
People who sit all day tend to have worse problems.
The pressure of sitting makes Hemorroids act up.
