I wish I had something bettter to say other than, could be.
The pain from the problems within the colon CAN radiate to the back side, and make it feel like u have a sore back. If she eliminates the foods that causes her problems, do the symptoms subside or disappear completely?
The other ones could be kidney stones or OTHER issues related to the kidney's. Or even an Ulcer can give back pain.. Does she suffer from any other symptoms? is she having any problems with milk and milk related dairy products? Problems with digesting ANY type of sugar or non-sugar sweetners?
Any bloating or gas? Any blood, during or after a BM?
Has this been going on for a long time? Has she seen a Doctor? I she has not, u may wish to see one to rule any problems out. And if you are disatisfied with the doctor's findings, find another one.. If you think u r being or the doctor appears to be guessing, chances are you r correct. (but these are just my opinions and experiences with doctors.. It's more like (telling the doctor) " fix the issue or find someone who can." )
