 Wife suffering for 3 years with pain..HELP?
My wife is 35 years old. Seven years ago she had a DuodenalSwitch/BPD. Before the surgery she was 400 pounds,after she was 150 pounds. She has had a very healthy life until 3 years ago when our son was born.
She has developed Colitis,as well as a hemeroid. Also she has a sevre pain on her left side and has been takeing VICOPROFIN on and off for that time for this pain. The doctor has put a pick line in her for Iron infusion because her labs are all down. Also her veins are floaters....
About 4 weeks ago we noticed that she was loseing a great deal of weight,she now is at 131 pounds. Malabsorption is now the problem. She is in the hospital for now for 10 days with TPN. They did a scope of her stomach and also took a biopsy...that came back as negitive. They did see that her small bowel is swollen and inflamed. They have her on Flaidgil(SPELLING SORRY) and stopped the Iron infusions. At this point they are doing blood test. Needless to say we are at the end of our rope here. In the past she has had colon scopes and they are fine,no sign of anything.
If anyone can help I would apreciate it. I can get more into detail as this post goes on...
