Seepage re Hemhorroids, Quick Question - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Hi,
Re Hemhorrroids, I have a question. I noticed a Very Small amount of clear fluid coming from my anal area, when I dab the area with tissue, it shows up pretty clear, not bloody.
I have hemmrohoids, that have bled (dripped) before, but this fluid seems to be clear. My prescription for Nutritional Healing Book says hemmrohoids' symptoms can include "seepage"...it this what they mean by seepage?
I thought all hemhorroids leaked blood only, but this is clear...also this hemmrohoid is lighter in color than the other darker ones...or might it be a cyst?

"Seepage" in that medical context, refers to fecal seepage. You see, the anal opening actually becomes misshapen by hemorrhoids and therefore, the normal sphincter "seal" is not tight and allows feces to leak out.
I had hemorrhoids for too many years and experienced the same type of bleeding you described. However, I never had any clear fluid.
If I were you, I would go and see your doctor to have it checked out. There could be other things going on aside from your hemorrhoids.

Thanks, I mentioned it to my MD, but he didn't think it was anything...so I guess all is well
