Need help.....weird stuff!? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

I was sitting around and i felt like i had to "fart"....well i did....and it felt gross.....so i went to the bathroom, and my underwear were wet. There was a clear, "mucus-like" liquid, which didnt really have too much of a smell..kinda bleachy\soapish. Um....I havent had much to eat in a few days...just water and big salads w\chicken\crutons. Any clue as to what this is?

When no one answers a message --it usually means they really just don't know???
I would say to produce a normal BM you need some food that contains fiber. When you eat sota unusal --I guess you can expect unusal stools???

Thanks, this was two days ago and everything else seems fine...it wasnt a lot it was just like a little water or something? So should i just "let it go" if it was only a one time thing? I have a tendency to get all freaked out over everything so? ha.

I wouldn't worry, it sounds to me like a touch of irritable bowel, which is very common and nothing major. You only need to visit your GP if you are having unusual bowel movements for more than 5 days or so.
