Thanks for the reply!
I kept searching online and could not find anything on it really. He was put in the hosptial after having weeks (about a month)of extremely bad stomach pain and extreme diarrhea.About a week before he went in, it started that everytime he would go to the bathroom, there was blood. At first the drs gave him kaopectate (sp?) every time he went to the bathroom but that didnt work. After 6 days of being in the hospital the only thing they told him was that they see his stomach is enlarged and they didnt know why, but released him. They then called him and told him it was digestive colitis and gave him some antibotics that he should take for a week. I am not sure exactly what they are. I cant remember. They said if it keeps up to come back. They did a cat scan but did not do a colonoscopy. They said they would do that if this kept up. They didnt say much about his diet, except he should try to eat healthy. We are in different states so I havent been able to see him in weeks. He told me that he was going to be going back to the hospital probably today or tomorrow because the pain has come back. But the drs told him that this is not something that just goes away on its own. Im trying to figure out how long this will last and what causes it and if it is serious. As i said, we aer supposed to be going on vacation and hes thinking we are going to need to cancel it, which of course is disappointing to both of us. Has anyone else had this or know anyone that has? Will it take more than a month for this to go away or is it a chronic or lifetime problem? I am so worried. Especially since I can't be there since we are in different states. Any imput that anyone has would be so greatly appreciated!!
Thank you
