I took 2 different types of enemas 4 days ago, and an oral laxative, which seemed to clean out mainly watery stool, and not solid.. I now feel tight and bloated, and still can't get whatever out. Any suggestions that might help??
I will be glad to share what works for me but need more information.
What were you bowel habits before you took the enemas and why did you take them?
What two different types of enemas did you take?
What oral laxitive did you take?
How much fiber and water do you get each day?
Have you be diganosed with any bowel disorder?
Used to go regular about every other day, but no longer than 3 days between movements.. I was bloated and felt a hard lump behind my stomach when I took my first cleansing enema, but basically watery stool came out. I went to bed sore in my abdomen so when I got up the next day I took 2 dulcolax pills which made more watery stool, nothing solid. The day after that I still felt like stool in my stomach hurting me, so I took a oil enema followed by the cleansing one as per the directions.. I just started taking fiber pills when I was trying to find a way to go. I haven't been diagnosed with any disorder..
First oil enemas are used to soften a stool to allow it to pass with a regular enema. They are generally used right at the very beginning, not after having taken other and gotten some results. I take it you have been using the prepackaged "Feet" enemas.
My guess is that your bowels are now empty and something else is causing the problem problem. Laxitive pills can make you loose for several days. So just waiting a few days could allow you to get back to normal. When I younger and have loose stools like you seem to have I was told I had a "bad cold" on my intestines. The proof given for this was the amount of mucus that I was passing. I have not had a cold of any sort in a number of years but my guess is that it should explained by problems. A large volume water enema cleaned me out and I was back to normal rather quickly.
If I were you I would try to let my system get back to normal on it's own or after taking a water enema. If your are still loose in three or four day then check with a doctor since a major change in bowel habits that continues for several weeks can be a sign of more serious problem.
I have also found that when I have at least one bowel movement every day, instead of every other day, I feel better and do not get sick. I do this by making sure I drink 2 liters of water a day and have lots of fiber in my diet.
Keep us posted on how you are doing, and what works for you.
I don't have loose stools anymore, they stopped by the end of the day I used the pills. I have a hard area near my belley button that fels like it is pushing on my stomach, but not wanting to move to get out... It hurts and makes it hard to eat..
