possible gall stones - but worried bout heart - pls help - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Have had 5 bouts of bad pain in middle of my body just below my ribs over past few weeks, spreading to right hand side. Have now also started experiecing bad back pain - same place just on my back (also into shoulder a little). Dr sending me for an ultrasound to check for gall stones.

However.... last night i woke having been asleep for over an hour, with my heart rate racing and feeling uncomfortable - and kinda fluttery through my body. I did breathing techniques to slow it down and after about 20 mins i went back asleep.

Today i have experienced several heart palpitations and feelings again of flutteryness. I have unusual feelings through my whole chest and tummy region.

Anyone any suggestions? Im v worried.

sam; I felt that way also when I had gallstones--my gallbladder was packed w/them. When the stones "moved" around it made my heart race and flutter. Try to eat soft, bland foods--jello-toast-(if you can stand it) nothing fatty or greasy! You should call your doctor just to be on the safe side. Maybe they can move your ultasound up. Hope this helps. Let us know how you are doing.

so - its kinda normal for the heart to bit a bit racey etc..... thank f*** cause its so worrying to wake with a racing heart beat or to be having palpitations. Thanks for the advice.
