just got back from the doctor and he gave me this med hyoscyamine.anyone ever taken it? and if so has it helped? details....

I took it for IBS, it worked really well until I got the side affects from it. I got a heaviness in my chest,couldnt tolerate heat and my vision blurred.
I also tried the other antispasmatics on the market but I got the same side affects.
my mom and sister take Bentyl 3 times a day ,for them its a godsend

I've been on it for a few months, it works really well for me..My only side effect is dry mouth.. Good luck, hope it helps you.

will it help make my stomach be quiet? I can deal with pain and discomfort, but not the noise.

So far all I have noticed is my stomach pain is getting worse, its cramping a lot more, so I think I'm going to stop taking them to see if it is these pills. I havent been taking them long, but since I started, worse pain.
