Re: Retroverted Uterus

I wonder the same thing. I also wonder if having a retroverted uterus can also cause severe dysmenorrhea, pain during intercourse, and endometriosis. Can someone please answer our inquiries?

Re: Retroverted Uterus

I also have a tilted uterus and have suffered all my life from constipation, painful intercourse and painful periods. Don't know if it's related.

Re: Retroverted Uterus

I wonder too...I had a retroverted uterus and I thought diverticulitis. Had two hospitalizations...CT scan of abd showed microperf on the first and the inflammed tic on the second. When they went into to do the bowel resection, I had decided to go ahead with a hysterectomy because my endo was really bad. what they discovered was that 3 loops of bowel were attached to my uterus by endo. Wound up having to have a rectopexy to put things back where they belonged after they removed the bowel section and uterus.

So...maybe if my uterus had stayed...it wouldn't be retroverted anymore???
Oh...and by the way.....no evidence of diverticulitis noted by the surgeon or the pathologist. Everything caused by the endo causing obstructive symptoms....
