I had a operation last Winter due to diviticulitis. I had to wear a colostomy for three months then I got my colon hooked back up in Feb 05. It seems like though some days I have regular flat stool. Other days its like brown/yellow water and it hits as soon as I eat I have to run to the potty!. This is something a lot of gall bladder patient face after surgery. BUT does people who get bowel/colon surgery deal with runny water stool a lot too?? Especially 5 months after? My Dr said it would be irregular a year does that mean watery? Or flat.? Because its both at times it goes from flat to runny yellow/brown.
I have been afraid I had stomach cancer, colon cancer, liver troubles? Anyone? Know how I feel or can you relate?? Some days I feel nausea at my tummy before I eat then after I eat I have to run!!! Weird huh?
Has your Doc done anymore tests after the surgery?
I had a CT scan before my resection and I'm scheduled for another colonscopy on Jul 14th, just to make sure things are ok because I've had probs too, like diarrhea. The Doc also did an EGD last week to check my stomach, maybe you should check into it with your Doc also, even if it's just to reassure you.

No my doctor has not done anymore tests. Here it is December I posted that last post in July and I still have watery stool, on occasion I have regular stool but its flat, and I still have that gnawy feeling too. I know they said it be like irregular a year...but I dont know if this is the type of irregular they meant.
