| Re: Blood on toilet paper
Hey, since most people on this particular board are a little crude (you HAVE to be actually!) I will suggest that you take a hand held mirror, bend over, hold that mirror where this spot is and look into a bigger mirror in back of you, you can spread open your butt crack and actually see an external hemmhorhoid. If it is REALLY big, you just have to bend over and voila! There it is! They do tend to be to one side. These things CAN cause signifanct bleeding too! Threethings has the right idea, if the blood is dark or if the stools are black looking, see a doctor. Even if you see a doctor for the hemmhoroid they will still give you a sigmoidoscopy if you tell them it's bleeding, because they want to make SURE of that. (I had it done, no big deal at all, you can even watch it on a little screen!) I heard there's prep for it, I didn't have one, just went in wasn't even prepared and it was done in 5 minutes. They just check out the descending colon.
