white BM (4 yearold) - Bowel Disorders Message Board

My daughter who is 4 has had losse stools for the past 3/4 days. Normal in color. Last night the BM was still very loose but now the color has changed to white. I left a message with a nurse at peds office and still waiting to hear back. Does anyone know if this is normal? TIA

Normally with diarrhea the stools will keep getting lighter and lighter - sometimes diarrhea is SO bad it is only CLEAR liquid. Or if you mean actual WHITE white, like milk, has she been drinking only milk lately with the loose stools?

I've had white stool after taking a lot of kaopectate. Did you give your child anything like that to control her diarrhea?
