Has anyone heard of this? - Bowel Disorders Message Board

My friend is scheduled for a colonoscophy next week. She is going to be using the Visicol Tablets.
Her Gastrinologist told her to stick to liquids the day before exam, such as black tea, water. broth....But she can have Jello and orange sherbert!

I would not have believed it, if I didn't see the papers myself.

Yeah, the general idea was clear stuff. I was allowed jello and popsicles (not sherbert, though).

When my son was a newborn and having bowel surgery... they fed him melted jello... so Jello isn't uncommon...but I hadn't heard sherbert either... lucky her! lol

Jelly beans and hard candies were also on my clear liquids list. Sometimes the red colored foods and liquids must be eliminated, as before my colonoscopy, but not before colon surgery.
