Painful swollen entrance (sorry!) - Bowel Disorders Message Board

Hi

About this time last year i had a colonoscopy etc and after various MRI and ultrasounds everything cam back clear.

Over the last day or so I have had a painful and sore and swollen opening to my bum (sorry i dont like to use the other word!), in fact it feels as though it is closed off! and also feels as though i need to go to the toilet urgently but i dont if you see what i mean!

Now i have chronis IBS with constipation so I am used to not going to the toilet etc and have to live with it however this sympton is very uncharacteristic for me.

Has anyone else have any suggestions or comments that could help?

Do you think you have any hemmoroids (sp??).......... If they were swollen........or "coming out" I would think it would feel like you had to push something out of the way.

hi

nope not piles! nothing there to push, have felt inside.

all the buttock areas is swollen and painful! as well as the opening. very tender and feels very full - hard to explain.

just had a bath and a little bit of discharge and my tummy is quite swollen (nothing new there though!) and hard.

time to make appointment with Dr again methinks!
