bowel movement right after eating - Bowel Disorders Message Board

My 31 year old daughter has been having symptons of almost immediately after eating having to go and have a bowel movement. She regularly has minimum 5 bowel movement daily. Has anyone heard of this problem and what may be causing it?

Hi, sometimes that happens to me. I have IBS. There are a number of things that could cause it. She should talk to a doctor to figure out exactly what is the cause.

Craftlady is right. Your daughter needs to check in with her doctor to find out if this is a problem or not. Everyone's metabolism is different, and can be affected by what she is eating, but also by any drugs she may be taking, smoking, etc.

Once she gets more information from her doctor, if she is diagnosed, we can help you research the diagnosis.
